First Ascent Recovery Tee

The First Ascent Recovery Tee is a shirt designed for activities where you’re going to be sweating (perspiring for the girls). I really liked this shirt, it kept me dry, felt good and of course it looks good too.

Shoe designers still find ways to tempt those of us who need the perfect shoe for a specific climb. So, as with last year, we asked them to send us their flagship high-performance sport/bouldering model and then a traddie version of the same. We recruited 15 testers with as many different foot shapes and ability levels, showing no mercy to our kicks on rock (and plastic) from coast to coast.

King Lines
A film by Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer
This movie follows Chris Sharma around the globe looking for king lines from the Mediterranean Sea to the Venezuelan jungle. Petzl Meteor 3 Helmet

Petzl call this an ‘ultralight and ventilated climbing helmet’. With 17 air vents and weighing in at only 235 grams this is one of the
lightest climbing helmets the world has come across. The high number of vents ensure that you won’t overcook your nut while straining through the crux moves of some country route in the middle of summer.
This plastic / closed cell foam helmet felt really comfortable (one size fits all). The chin strap webbing is soft &
thin. The buckle position can be set to where it is most …

Petzl Adjama Harness

This fully adjustable harness is a great all rounder. The pre-threaded buckles are easy to operate and no double backing is required. The adjustable leg loops allow for different thicknesses of clothing to be worn depending on the weather. The harness has a frame construction with breathable monofilament mesh to evenly distribute pressure, giving comfy support to your back. The perforated mesh also keeps you cooler in summer. On closer inspection you will see that there is no ‘sling’ making up the waist loop, but rather Petzl’s new (and patented) …
