Petzl Adjama Harness

This fully adjustable harness is a great all rounder. The pre-threaded buckles are easy to operate and no double backing is required. The adjustable leg loops allow for different thicknesses of clothing to be worn depending on the weather. The harness has a frame construction with breathable monofilament mesh to evenly distribute pressure, giving comfy support to your back. The perforated mesh also keeps you cooler in summer. On closer inspection you will see that there is no ‘sling’ making up the waist loop, but rather Petzl’s new (and patented) frame construction.

The green belay loop makes it easier to identify the tie in point. The tie points are reinforced for increased durability.

The 2 front gear loops are forward inclined providing easy access to gear and the angle is such that stacking does not occur. The 2 back (larger) gear loops are flexible and are also ‘backpack friendly’ so they won’t dig into your back while wearing a pack.

There is a loop at the back of the harness for a trail line, however I personally would not be comfortable relying on this loop alone as the breaking strain appears to be rather low. The elastic leg loop straps are conveniently detachable for when you need to go.

For those ice climbers out there (2007 turning out to be an excellent year for ice) there are two Caritool slots for ice screws.

This is a light comfortable harness, suitable for amateurs to experts who enjoy all aspects of climbing. It also compresses well and dries quickly.
